The Whitby Gin Distillery is a fantastic place to visit whilst on holiday in North Yorkshire. The distillery has come on leaps and bounds since it was founded in 2018. From humble origins where the owners began creating their bespoke drinks in a utility room, the Whitby Gin Distillery now offers tours around its fantastic and traditional distillery. 

Multi-Award-Winning Spirits

The Whitby Gin Distillery has an excellent offering of multi-award winning spirits including the best British London Dry of 2019, botanical gins, fruit gins, a special spiced rum, and various unique one-off drinks. The most notable of these unique spirits is the ‘Prince of Darkness’ Gin, which is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula. This vampire-inspired gin has a sweet cherry palate with a tangy aroma, paired beautifully with smoky notes thanks to Transylvanian oak. 

Distillery Tours

Discover the ins and outs of the gin and rum-making process and embark on a tour around the local distillery. Tours are led by the owners of this fantastic company, meaning that you will truly receive an insider’s expertise and insight. Tours include a detailed summary of how Whitby Gin came into existence, a botanical masterclass, as well as the opportunity to sample a selection of their international award-winning spirits. Designated drivers will be supplied with a 5cl miniature bottle to take home. You will also receive a charming Whitby Gin glass as a memento.
