About Whitby Holiday Park

  • Whitby Holiday Park is open for 10.5 months from 1st March - 14th January

  • Whitby Holiday Park is part of Coastdale Parks - an independent and family owned group of 3 holiday parks. Our other parks are Garreg Goch Caravan in North Wales and Atlantic Coast Holiday Park in Cornwall.

  • Yes, your friends and family are welcome to use the park facilities if they are staying with you.

  • Yes, Whitby Holiday Park is a dog-friendly holiday park in Whitby. All purchased holiday homes are also dog-friendly for homeowners.

Purchase Process

  • You can either book through the website or by calling us on 01947 602664.

  • Yes, we do sell pre-owned holiday homes at Whitby Holiday Park. Pre-owned holiday homes are subject to availability.

  • Holiday homes vary in price, but start from around £60,000 upwards for a new holiday home and from £40,000 for pre-owned holiday homes at Whitby Holiday Park.

  • Your pitch fee can be paid over the phone to our Reception on 01947 602664, or via the owners portal which we will email you how to log in once you become a holiday home owner.

  • We will need proof of identity and address (council tax bill) as you will need to have a residential home in the UK.

  • On the handover day, you would come along and sign your licence agreement with us, we would then have one of our team come along to your holiday home to go through our handover form with you, showing you where to locate everything you would need to know about your holiday home. We would then leave you to get settled into your new holiday home.

  • No, you do not own the land your holiday home is on, instead you rent the plot that your holiday home is positioned on.

Holiday Homes for Sale

  • A static holiday home tends to peak at the size of 36 x 12ft - 37 x 12ft and will have standard size deckings. Lodges and log cabins are usually larger in length, width and height and are more likely to have the facilities to accommodate a hot tub.

  • The pitches are subject to availability. If there is a pitch available in an area that you like and the van will fit on it we can.

  • We can give you the details of the WiFi company, so that you can organise with them to come and install the WiFi for you.

  • Yes, you can get free-sat in your holiday home at Whitby Holiday Park.

  • If you are the only ones who will be staying in your holiday home, then your TV licence from home covers you. If you have family and friends staying at your holiday home without you, then you would need a separate TV licence.

  • Yes, all of our holiday homes for sale come fully furnished at Whitby Holiday Park .

Site Fees and Costs

  • The price of the holiday home is for the holiday home, siting of the holiday home and making the holiday home gas and electric safe ready for you to use it.

  • The full balance of your holiday home is due before you take over ownership and once your holiday home is on its pitch.

  • All new holiday homes purchased at Whitby Holiday Park come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

  • The pitch fees are due at the beginning of each year and must be paid for in full by 15th February.

  • The deposit we require to secure a holiday home is 20% of the holiday home retail price.

  • Our licence agreements are as follows:
    New Lodge = 30 years
    New Static holiday home = 20 years
    Pre-owned static holiday home = 15 years

  • You don’t need to pay council tax as we are not a residential park.

  • Gas is bottled and would need to be paid for once you had ordered a bottle and we had delivered it. Electricity is metered and we read the meters yearly.

  • The manager would speak to you leading up to the end of your licence agreement to see what your intentions are going forward.

  • There are pitch fees and rates that due annually. There is also the cost for replacing gas bottles, electricity, gas test and electric test.

  • You would need to login into your owner portal where you can order a gas bottle from, or you can contact reception to order a gas bottle. We will the deliver your new bottle and take the empty bottle away.

Holiday Home Ownership

  • You will be welcomed to the park as a member of the community and thought of in the same way. Coastdale parks aims for all customers to feel as comfortable in their holiday home as they do in their residential home

  • Yes, you can add a veranda to your holiday home at Whitby Holiday Park. However, the possibility of building a veranda is subject to size of the pitch

  • Yes, homeowners can arrange for alarms to be installed on your holiday home at Whitby Holiday Park.

  • The best way to stay up to date with news about Whitby Holiday Park is by following our Facebook Page.

  • You can visit your holiday home at Whitby Holiday Park as many times as you like throughout the year. Owning a holiday home at Whitby Holiday Park allows homeowners to visit Whitby as much as they like during our opening season from 1st March - 14th January

  • Yes, you can sell your holiday home privately at Whitby Holiday Park. Please note that there is a 15% commission plus VAT to be paid, if you decide to sell your holiday home privately.

  • Yes, each holiday home at Whitby Holiday Park has enough parking space for one car.

  • No we don't allow you to build your own shed, however please check with Reception on the size of plastic storage containers we allow.

  • We do offer a subletting scheme (subject to availability) through our company. Please visit our subletting FAQs for more information.

  • You would have to offer your holiday home back to the park first. If you didn't want to accept our offer then you can sell privately.

  • No, if you report any maintenance issues to Reception or via the owners portal, our maintenance team will best attend to the problem. If it requires one of our approved contractors to attend, then we will call them out on your behalf.

  • We advise to take seating cushions away from walls, the same for mattresses and put bowls of salt around your holiday home to capture any condensation. We also advise to turn your tap off out side of your caravan, to help

  • We have a list of approved contractors that we can organise the work to be carried out for you on your behalf.
