Whitby Steampunk Weekend 22nd - 24th July 2022

Whitby is a famous meeting spot for the Steampunk community to gather and celebrate their fashion and enthusiasm for the town itself. The Whitby Abbey and St Mary’s Church are just a short walk along the Cleveland Way coastal path from us here at Whitby Holiday Park, and are fantastic photo opportunities not to be missed especially when you are in your fabulous attire.

The event of the Whitby Steampunk Weekend itself began in 2017 and has since grown to be one of the biggest Steampunk gatherings in the UK each time it occurs.

Whitby Pavilion has become the main hub for attendees with a number of organised activities, presentations, practical workshops and demonstrations. This is also the location for the ever popular Steampunk Retail Emporium which will be open 10am - 5pm on Saturday 23rd July and 10am - 4pm on Sunday 24th July, featuring stalls from far and wide selling all things Steampunk.

As well as day time events there will be ticketed night time entertainment throughout the weekend.

Located at The Metropole in Whitby, the Soultown Kats are the Friday evening entertainment playing soul, motown and stax classics!

Saturday night is Sailor Nite this year at the Steampunk weekend. With a 17 piece rowdy pirate and shanty ensemble called the Old Time Sailors you are bound for a swell time!

If you still haven’t booked your tickets, you can click on the photo above to check availability.

There will be plenty to do whether you have your outfits picked out ready to take part in the festivities or enjoy admiring the Steampunk fashion while wandering the cobbled streets of Whitby.
